Aramco, one of the world’s leading integrated energy and chemicals companies, has today unveiled the first three renovated community basketball courts in Beijing, China. These courts are part of Aramco’s “Shoot for the Future” basketball court revamp project, with the goal of injecting new energy into community basketball in China. The courts are built with innovative and advanced materials, with the flooring made partly from recycled plastic.
Xu Jicheng, Chinese Basketball Association Vice President and China Basketball League (Beijing) Sports Co., Ltd. Chairman, said: “Aramco has opened up new possibilities for our partnership, and we aim to continue to work together to elevate professional basketball in China to an even higher level.”
Aramco at 2025 CBA All-Star Weekend
The 2025 CBA All-Star Weekend successfully concluded in the beginning of March, featuring a series of thrilling competitions that captivated thousands of basketball fans.
The materials on display in Aramco booth were used for floor panels at three basketball courts in Beijing’s iconic Dongdan sport center last November. Aramco plans to further expand this initiative nationwide this year in collaboration with CBA and other partners.
Aramco’s partnership with CBA began in 2022 and was renewed two years later, marking a strategic alliance that combines the CBA’s extensive influence in Chinese sports with Aramco’s commitment to innovation and community engagement.
The North Team defeated the South Team 159-136 in the 2025 CBA All-Star Game. Beijing Royal Fighters’ Zou Yuchen, who scored a team-high 23 points, was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP).
Aramco Sports Zone comes to the Chinese Grand Prix 2025
The Aramco Sports Zone saw Formula 1 drivers, VIPs, and athletes from different sports come together in the paddock and included Formula 1 drivers shooting hoops with CBA stars Li Tianrong and Ben Li from the Shanghai Sharks team.
In addition, in the fanzone, Aramco provided an immersive experience for fans to feel the excitement of playing on a model of the iconic Dongdan basketball court in Beijing, where they had the chance to take part in a shooting competition against the clock to win prizes.
The Aramco Sports Zone and basketball fanzone represent another milestone in Aramco’s proud and long history of partnerships in China and Aramco’s commitment to inspiring people and fostering community growth through sports.
